EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS

Most, if not all, businesses have employees. It is a legal requirement to give every
employee a written Statement of Particulars no later than 2 months after the beginning
of the employee's employment. This is just the start. There are various other legal
requirements that need to be complied with in connection with the employer/employee
relationship  many of which can be dealt with in a Contract of Employment.
If you, as an employer, are satisfied that your contracts are sufficient, you should still a
ask yourself ‘when were they last reviewed?'

There are various traps for both employers and employees in connection with many
aspects of the contract of employment including the basic drafting, pay and benefits,
the working relationship, protection of interests, termination of employment and other
such miscellaneous matters.

Our experience helps us to anticipate problems when drafting, reviewing, or advising
on contracts of employment and so as to try to prevent them from arising.
